Recommended by a friend this book was gripping. Downloaded it today and had to read it straight through. A good balance of interesting trade craft without compromising (ex) colleagues. It reminded me of Horses Arse by Charlie Owen. If this is a first novel I look forward to a rich vein of material over the next few years.

What a brilliant read, I could not put this one down. I am an ex-police officer from Brighton and found this book totally realistic, cant wait for the next one!!!

Don't start reading this unless you have got time to read it all. I was waiting for a point in the book where I could put it away for later - I didn't find one! I find it hard to believe this is a first novel - if his next one is better (and they usually are) we are in for a treat.

This is not my usual genre but I am already looking forward to the next one. The story picks you up and carries you along, and living in Brighton it is fascinating relating it back to places that I know seen from a completely different view point.
