This is quite simply a wonderful book. Please don't be deterred by the fact that it focusses on young adults of high school age; I am in my mid 30's and some of the best reads I have found are of this genre.
I haven't read a book in a long time that surprised me as much as Hopeless did; usually you get an inkling of what to expect but the path this took was totally unexpected.
Both Sky and Holder are incredibly strong likeable characters, but not without their weaknesses and their journeys captivated me. It made me laugh, frustrated me and actually moved me to tears. I felt their happiness, their sorrows and their pain and it made me want to delve into the book and take it away from them.
Hopeless is the first book I have read by Colleen Hoover. Why I haven't read her others I have no idea, but I shall be and I cannot recommend reading this highly enough.

I loved Hopeless; I was hooked from the very beginning. The story is so good and I like to have an idea of the storyline of a book before I start reading but I'm glad I had no clue with this because it deserves to be read without spoilers. What I will say is that Holder is just, wow...he is simply amazing; and Sky is such a strong character. What they go through together is heartbreaking. Colleen Hoover is an amazing author, I highly recommended this book!

I couldn't put Hopeless down. It was funny and sad burglary heartfelt. So I must recommend it with a box of tissues.

Hopeless is superbly written and captivating story...the kind you live through. The immediate intensity between Sky and Holder is palpable. The past they share is more entwined then you dare think and the only thing that gets them through the impact it has on the present is each other... I challenge anyone to not live this book!
Oh and keep the tissues nearby. Definitely a book for reading alone. I loved Hopeless. It is a genre that wouldn't have instantly attracted me, but having read some of the Amazon reviews, I thought I'd give it a go. And I did not regret it.

Hopeless was so well written and despite the tragic storyline it did not make you feel sorry for the main character. It's the type of book that gives you strength and faith in the eternal hopefulness of human life.
