I call it the 20p club.
The 20p club features good quality books that sell unsurprisingly for 20p.And the books in the 20p club are from new and well known authors and can feature some really good deals.
Free books are great for compulsive readers as they provide a great source of books that will hopefully never run out.
This gives the authors of the free books a chance to gain a wider readership and get there work out into the wild.
But why shouldn’t they get a reward for their work. The 20p club could be a great new way to advertise your new book and get it seen and get paid for it.
This is why I like the 20p club.
The small amount of money asked by the 20p club will not put off many people and if the book has a good story and a good write ups, then this can only help the book.

Bright Young Things by Scarlett Thomas - 0.20p
First off in the 20p club: They're in the prime of their lives but our bright young things are all burnt out. Six sparky twenty some-things just out of university and working dead-end jobs, they are all bored to tears with their lives and looking for a way out. When a mysterious job is advertised in the newspaper, they all apply. What they least expect is to find themselves prisoners on a deserted island. There's food in the fridge and they have a bedroom each, but there's no telephone, no television, and no way to escape.
Winter in Madrid by C. J. Sansom 0.20p
"A remarkable imaginative feat... one of the most atmospheric historical novels I've read in years"
Set in wartime Madrid, the book plots the fortunes of connected English characters on different places in the religious and political divides.
The story is involving and quite gripping albeit written from a pro republican, anti religious perspective.
The descriptive passages are great recreating the despair and squalor of wartime Madrid extremely well.
Capital by John Lanchester - 0.20p
This is an intelligent and entertaining account of our grubby, uncertain, fragmented London society that has almost replaced religion with shopping. Read it.' - Claire Tomalin, Observer
'Brimming with perception, humane empathy and relish, its portrayal of this metropolitan miscellany is, in every sense, a capital achievement.' - Peter Kemp, Sunday Times
"New for the 20p club"

Sometimes hiding isn't your only option. A nail-biter that reveals the Isle of Man to be a Heart of Darkness!

Thursdays in the Park by Hilary Boyd - 0.20p
What do you do if you've been married to a man for half your life and out of nowhere he leaves your bed – permanently? When this happens to Jeanie, she's furious and hurt, and determined to confront George, her husband of thirty years. Is he in love with someone else? What did she do wrong? He won't tell her.
The brightest day of her week is Thursday, the day Jeanie takes her granddaughter to the park. There, one day, she meets Ray and his grandson. Ray is kind, easy to talk to, and gorgeous – everything George isn't. She starts to live for Thursdays. But does she have the courage, in the teeth of opposition from all sides, to turn her life upside down for another shot at love?
The 100 Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window by Jonas Jonasson - £0.20p
It all starts on the one-hundredth birthday of Allan Karlsson. Sitting quietly in his room in an old people’s home, he is waiting for the party he-never-wanted-anyway to begin. The Mayor is going to be there. The press is going to be there. But, as it turns out, Allan is not… Slowly but surely Allan climbs out of his bedroom window, into the flowerbed (in his slippers) and makes his getaway.
